FAQ

Does BLKINC work with small businesses?

I work directly with small business owners, their administrative staff and project teams. Architects, developers, contractors, engineers, information technology specialists, and other consulting professionals represent the majority of my client base.

What are your services?

I deliver a wide range of services, broadly classified as:

Finance (planning, reporting)

Tax (federal, state, local)

Accounting (cloud-based systems, configuration, deployment, management, user training)

Collaboration (cloud-based document exchange and project management)

Communications (secure/unified voice, email, instant messaging, video conferencing, desktop sharing)

Private Cloud  (secure/private virtual servers for mission-critical applications)

All services are provided on an as-needed basis, to address both the predictable and event-driven requirements of small businesses.

How are federal tax requirements addressed?

Federal tax returns for BLKINC clients (corporate, partnership, individual) are produced and filed by associate, Waller & Waller CPAs (Seattle, WA). I’ve teamed up with Waller & Waller for over twenty years. Together, we address a comprehensive range of tax compliance and planning issues.

What about technology services?

Private cloud, unified communications and collaboration services for BLKINC clients are provisioned and supported by Chinook Communications (Seattle, WA). Chinook and parent company, Implement.Com, were founded by hosted technology pioneer, Steve Schwartz. BLKINC has provided tax and accounting support to Chinook and Implement since the founding of these firms. Chinook provisions the hosted platform I use to deliver all my services.

How long have you been in business?

Twenty-four years.

Why did you start BLKINC?

I want to level the playing field for small businesses by helping owners and their teams compete more effectively and profitably with regional and national firms, for private and public sector work.
